"Graduation is only the beginning"
Although my cynical side rejected the notion of paying for the privilege of walking across a stage for the second time, I'm glad I attended my graduation. It feels important that I have marked my transition from nervous dental student, to terrified dental trainee!
Congratulations to all the other dentists, I'm really proud of all of us for doing so well. And congratulations to (what felt like) the many thousands of medical students that graduated with us. I was disappointed that they got to wear my colour (purple) while I had to settle for green. That really should have been something that I took into consideration 4 years ago when deciding on a 2nd degree.
Graduation really made it hit home that in 5 days I'll be moving out of London and in 12 days I'll be picking up a mirror for the first time since I finished my exams - and being paid for it!
I'm excited, I'm scared as hell, I need to just get on and do it, the anticipation is making me crazy.
